A splendid combination of Indian and Nepalese design patterns, the Indo-Nepalese rugs are simply beautiful to look at. Originated in Nepal in the 1960s, this carpet style was brought to India by Tibetan refugees.

Indo-Nepalese carpets are basically hand knotted rugs made in wool pile. Having low to medium knot density, these carpets mostly use cotton as the base. Handmade embroidery and intricate weavings, coupled with a unique knotting style, give the Indo-Nepalese carpets a special, lustrous look.
